Event: Map Mixer
The Library of Congress Geography and Map Division and the Philip Lee Phillips Society (PLPS) will host a Map Mixer. Join fellow map lovers and Library supporters for an afternoon of exploration, conversation, and connection. Geography and Map Division staff will present a curated selection of their favorite maps from the Library's collections. Come mingle with fellow enthusiasts and enjoy light refreshments while learning about PLPS initiatives and celebrating cartography.
Schedule:
1:30 pm: Registration begins 2:00 pm: Welcome remarks 2:05-3:45 pm: Stop by stations staffed by Geography & Map staff members and interns to learn about projects and collections in Madison Hall 2:45-3:45 pm: Light refreshments will be served
4:00-5:00 pm: Washington Map Society Social Hour at Bullfeathers, 410 First Street Southeast, Washington, DC 20003 (WMS will host first drink and selection of appetizers)
